Lincoln Park
7,000 sf, 6 bed, 7 bath
This residence reimagines a traditional Lincoln Park home as a warm, contemporary urban retreat where understated elegance gives way to moments of sculptural drama. Designed for a new owner, the renovation embraces light, textured materials, and curved forms to create an environment that feels restorative and inspiring.
The original brick structure provided a solid framework, but the interior needed reinvention. Working within the existing envelope, dSPACE reconfigured the floor plan to improve flow, add amenities, and bring daylight deep into the interior. An edited palette of natural materials and organic forms defines spaces that support the rhythms of daily life and invite gatherings with family and friends.
The interior architecture takes inspiration from a trio of arched openings on the façade. Minimalist vaulted portals guide movement and curate views, an arched travertine fireplace draws the eye, and curved forms recur throughout—from the dining alcove to rounded room corners and a custom screen wall in the primary suite. These elements establish a visual language that unifies the composition, choreographing a sequence of spaces that unfold with a sense of discovery.
The rear façade was reconstructed with a two-story window wall that strengthens the connection to the outdoors. Wellness elements—including circadian lighting controls, a gym, and a sauna—enhance a home designed to elevate everyday life.
