KEVIN TOUKOUMIDIS, AIA, LEED, Founder and Principal
Architect Kevin Toukoumidis founded dSPACE Studio in 2007 after professional practice in architectural offices in San Francisco, Boston, Cleveland, and Chicago. His portfolio includes single family and multi-unit residential, hotel, restaurant, retail, office workspace, and landscape projects. He is intimately involved in projects from start to finish collaborating with clients to develop solutions that provide unique architectural identities and strong connections between interior and exterior spaces.
Kevin discovered his passion for design through exposure to diverse urban environments living in Italy, Canada and the US. He received his Master of Architecture from Syracuse University, and his Bachelor of Arts in Engineering with a minor in Art from Lafayette College, in Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and is LEED accredited in sustainable design.
TOM HAGERTY, AIA, Principal
Architect Tom Hagerty is passionate about the practice of architecture and is an integral part of firm leadership. Tom is involved in the design and management of complex residential and commercial projects and enjoys identifying creative solutions for innovative and cost-effective designs. Tom received his Bachelor of Architecture with Distinction from Iowa State University.
KATHRYN MCRAY, LEED, Project Manager
Kathryn received her Masters of Architecture from UIC. Kathryn also has a degree in Theatre & Drama, and in her former life she worked with non-profit theatre groups. Kathryn welcomes the chance to work on projects of all shapes and sizes and is interested in how good design influences the way we live. A detailed designer and project manager, Kathryn’s project portfolio ranges from high-rise to residential.
LESLIE MIGNIN, Project Manager
Leslie received her Master of Architecture from Cornell University and her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art & Architectural Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts. She grew up in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood and after many years on the east coast, Leslie calls Chicago home. Her diverse design background includes residential, as well as, innovative retail and hospitality projects for Anthropologie & Urban Outfitters.
BRAD LIGHTNER, AIA, LEED, Project Manager
Brad received his Masters of Architecture with Honors from Washington University in St. Louis and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ball State University. Prior to dSPACE, Brad worked on commercial, cultural and multi-family residential projects at Booth Hansen and Perkins+Will in Chicago. He is a licensed Architect in Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
MATT SENER, Designer
Matt received his Masters of Architecture from Arizona State University and a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University, with a Minor in Architectural Digital Media. He was practicing in Los Angeles prior to returning to his hometown of Chicago to continue his passion for residential design. Matt believes architecture can improve the way we live through innovative design and attention to detail.
NICK IRMEN, Designer
Nick received his Master of Architecture from Clemson University and his Bachelor of Architecture from Miami University of Ohio. His design portfolio includes residential and urban projects in diverse locations from Ghana to Charleston, and his home town of Toledo. Nick considers architecture to be an interactive exploration of function and aesthetics between designer and client, and believes good design enhances our quality of life.
ROBERT McFADDEN, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Project Manager
Robert received his Masters of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles and his Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy. His experience includes residential, higher education and commercial projects in Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco and LA. Robert believes good design is joyful and exciting regardless of budget or scale. He is also interested in digital tools producing eco-friendly buildings.
